The vehicles with a Start&Stop system are equipped with a system that monitors the battery’s state of charge and “wear”. Therefore, when the battery is replaced, the control unit must be informed of the assembly of a new battery with the same amperage or with an amperage that is compatible with the vehicle´s specifications; in some cases the battery coding procedure requires you to enter a BEM (Battery Energy Management) code.
